Knock Papoose was purchased at the Scottish National Sale in 2009. Shortly afterwards Gordon Gray, Ettrick, requested a half share. This has been most influential for both of us. Papoose was RHAS 2010 1st Prize Shearling Ram and has produced significant show and sale winning offspring. At the same RHAS show a son was 1st Prize Ram Lamb. His 2011 gimmers were GGH1000055 Northumberland Show Champion of Champions, GGH100030, Abington Show Champion of Champions, GGH1000018 Kelso Show Reserve Interbreed Champion, GGH1101046 Stirling Show Reserve Champion.
To demonstrate his sale capability, his offspring have sold to 26,000, 10,000 & 6,000
gns for gimmers at the Select Seven Sale 2011, Tups to 10,500 gns for Ettrick Rainbow
Warrior and many other significant sale prices.
He is a most significant tup and provides for his offspring great skins, tremendous length and character. His offspring are easily recognised as Papoose puts his stamp onto them and it is obvious which are his lambs in a field.
Semen available for UK and export. Please contact Gordon Gray at ggraysunnycroft@mail.com or Maurice Hardy-Bishop at Texels@greypeel.co.uk.
